Dan Handpan Man
Dan Handpan Man est joueur de handpan, multi-instrumentiste et enseignant sur la Gold Coast australienne, et cofondateur de One Human Rhythm.
Dan jouait déjà de la guitare, chantait dans des groupes et écrivait des chansons à quatorze ans, avant d’explorer les percussions et le djembé. Il a découvert le handpan dans un magasin de musique de la Gold Coast, où il revenait régulièrement jouer sur l’instrument exposé avant d’acheter le sien. Il s’est ensuite produit lors de séances de méditation, de respiration et de yoga. Lors d’un événement sur la plage, il a rencontré Bonnie, avec qui il a fondé One Human Rhythm. Le projet associe instruments, enseignement et accompagnement : cours débutant, leçons individuelles en ligne et mentorat. Ses premiers cours abordent le toucher, le son, l’entretien de l’instrument et un premier motif musical. La suite développe l’indépendance des mains, la coordination, le repérage tactile des notes, le rythme et la création de mélodies personnelles, ainsi que l’intégration de percussions. Il relie ainsi concerts et apprentissage pratique, accessible sans expérience instrumentale préalable.
