Major / Ionian from the Ding - Lydian from the first circle note

Origins

The story behind Ashakiran

Ashakiran is an extended Sabye-family sound model associated with Ayasa and Malte Marten. Its chosen name has been presented through the creators' imagery as a ray of hope, fitting the model's bright musical character without implying an older traditional scale. The layout combines a major collection from the Ding with a Lydian perspective from the first circle note.

Characteristics

How Ashakiran feels to play

A fourth separates the Ding from the first circle note, creating two distinct layers: a grounded major bass below and floating Lydian movement above. That leap makes the first melodic entrance feel buoyant. Clear chord options and an extended range support joyful patterns, spacious accompaniment, and smooth changes between stable warmth and lifted wonder.
