Art Tawanghar (ART)

Art Tawanghar is a composer and producer based in Vista, California, combining electronic textures, handpan and acoustic instrumentation.

Based in Vista, California, Art Tawanghar works across New Age composition, electronic production and instrumental music alongside a career in product and experience design. His arrangements bring together synthesizers, handpan, harp, oboe and Persian instruments. Soul of the Earth appeared in 2016, followed by Buddha Lounge in 2017, with recordings released independently and through Majorhitrecords. In a 2020 interview, he described selecting collaborators through the label and exploring combinations of Persian classical music and electronic dance production. His recording catalogue also includes Handpan & Cello Ceremony and Handpan Lounge, placing the handpan within a broader studio practice rather than limiting his work to solo performances. Across these projects, composition and production allow him to bring contrasting instrumental colours and musical traditions into the same recording.
