Benny Bettane is an Australian handpan player, composer and multi-instrumentalist whose work combines melody with a strong rhythmic foundation. His performances bring the handpan into contact with other musical traditions, including jazz, funk, electronic music and rap. The HangOut USA festival presents him as an international solo performer based in Italy, a place of residence distinct from his Australian origin. His touring activity includes Europe and North America, and his practice extends from individual compositions to collaborations with other musicians.
