Ibni Rocks

Handpan player, drummer and pianist Ibni Rocks combines original compositions, ensemble performances and teaching, with a wider practice in visual art and magic.

Ibni Rocks is a handpan player, drummer, pianist and composer who began playing drums in early childhood. His first concert brought him together with the Master Drummers of Ghana in Somerset. He has since developed a practice spanning solo performances, collaborations and teaching through his Handpan Music Academy. His recordings include Infinity, a collection of ten original compositions performed on Meridian and Lupan instruments, and Dragonfly, featuring handpans by PanStream and Yishama. His performance archive documents musical exchanges with Kabeção, Alexandre Lora, Mumi, Koné Moerman and Laurent Sureau, alongside appearances at handpan gatherings in several European countries. The 2026 single Next Big Ding credits him together with Koné and Daniele Rebaudo. Beyond music, his official biography also presents work in magic and visual art. These different activities sit alongside a developing repertoire of handpan pieces and an interest in making music with other performers.
