Konstantin Rössler is a handpan musician and educator whose background began with drums before a YouTube encounter led him toward tuned steel. He started playing the handpan in 2019 and gradually built a full-time artistic practice around concerts, workshops, retreats and online sharing. His music is largely improvised, with recurring melodic cells unfolding through patient repetition and dynamic control. Rather than emphasising complexity for its own sake, Rössler frames playing as a process of listening, emotional movement and presence. Recordings such as the album “Before You Became” extend this approach into longer-form composition while retaining the immediacy of live flow. His work is particularly accessible to listeners drawn to meditative handpan music, yet it also demonstrates how subtle changes in touch, register and timing can create a strong individual voice.
