Thierry Bleton

French handpan musician, composer and teacher whose listening-centred approach encourages intuitive expression, personal storytelling and accessible musical development.

Thierry Bleton is a French self-taught musician whose practice extends across handpan and several other instruments. He discovered the handpan world in 2009 and acquired his first instrument in 2016, gradually developing a performance and teaching activity rooted in careful listening and individual expression. Based in the Aude region, he offers lessons, workshops and courses for different experience levels, with an emphasis on helping players find a natural relationship with rhythm, melody and composition. His own music often carries a narrative and atmospheric dimension, including the album project Welcome to Agartha and the artist-designed Shambhala scale developed with Sergio Gio’s Instruments. His teaching avoids a single rigid method, instead adapting to each person’s pace while connecting free exploration with concrete musical tools.
